"Residents Order, Residents Perform!" Community Residents Are Both "Orderers" and Participants! Time:2024-06-19

With the development of society and the improvement of people's living standards, people's needs for a better life are growing, and their demands and requirements for daily cultural and recreational activities in the community are also constantly increasing.

Recently, cultural enthusiasts from the Wenxing Community of Jinhai Sub-district proposed to the community whether some cultural and artistic performances could be held. After learning about the demand, the residents' committee, combined with the existing resources of the community, cooperated with the Fengxian District Rural Charm Cultural Studio to carry out a unique "Cultural and Artistic Performances Entering the Community" activity.

In this performance, residents of the neighborhood also participated, making community residents both "orderers" and participants. This form is also a reflection of the "residents order, residents perform" model of community cultural and artistic autonomy.

Listening to the melodious and graceful red songs and following the swaying dance steps of the dancers, with the red silk scarves fluttering in the hands of the performers... The dance "Hello, Motherland!" served as the opening performance, showcasing the charm of dance that combines softness and strength with melodious songs and beautiful dances.

The traditional Huju opera repertoire combined with modern topics, "The New Biography of A Bi Da," was deeply loved by the residents. The lively and rich expressions and emotionally charged singing of the performers kept the audience enthralled.

The singing performance incorporated the theme of "rural revitalization" into the performance of the works, using a popular and well-received way to compose a new movement and sing a new momentum for the goal of "striving to paint a new ecological picture of livable and employment-friendly beautiful rural construction."

The mountain song opera "New Hope for Green Ecology" and the gong and drum book "New City Embarks on a New Journey" took our country's intangible cultural heritage and modern new city construction as the theme, not only allowing residents to experience the traditional charm of intangible cultural heritage but also enabling everyone to further understand the process of new city development while watching.

Auntie Tao is a resident of the Wenxing Community and also a performer of the Shanghai Fengxian District Rural Charm Cultural Studio. After the performance, she said, "Being able to perform in my own neighborhood and let neighbors experience the charm of cultural and artistic performances together, enriching our spiritual and cultural life, is a different experience for me. I feel particularly happy and hope to continue coming to the community in the future to bring more wonderful programs."
