As the mercury rises in the city, Fengxian Bihai Jinsha is set to splash into the 2025 swimming season this Saturday (June 21). This newly revamped man-made beach is back with a bang, boasting soft golden sand and crystal-clear blue waters, making it a must-visit summer retreat in Shanghai.

At Bihai Jinsha Water Park, staff are putting the finishing touches on the soon-to-open children's water park. The sea is adorned with clusters of pink inflatable ducklings, adding a touch of childlike charm. Wu Chunfang, general manager of the scenic area, revealed that a newly renovated "water fortress" has been added for this season, tailored for kids. The park's facilities have also been upgraded. Plus, a Ne Zha-themed photo spot has been introduced to draw in families and young visitors for memorable photos.

For the first swimming season after the renovation, the scenic area has gone all out on safety measures. A real-time water quality monitoring system keeps the seawater crystal clear. With 42 lifeguards rotating in two-hour shifts around the clock, visitor safety is ensured 24/7.

The Bihai Jinsha swimming season this year spans from June 21 to September 7, open daily from 8:30 to 21:00. Visitors are reminded to be mindful of tides and weather when swimming outdoors. It is best to swim with a buddy and follow the staff's directions. With the swimming season falling in the midst of the summer holiday rush, it is wise for locals to visit during off-peak times or book tickets in advance via official channels.
