The temporary parking lot at Beihong Road in Fengpu Sub-district has been fully transformed into a P+R (Park and Ride) facility and began operation today (September 1). It has been integrated into Shanghai's public P+R parking lot (garage) network and is the second P+R parking lot to open in Fengxian.

The facility has added 126 new parking spaces for public P+R services (including 2 accessible parking spaces). The parking fee is set at 8 yuan per use (per day).

P+R stands for "Park and Ride", which means "parking and then transferring to public transportation". Through P+R, drivers can conveniently park at the city's periphery and transfer to the subway to quickly enter the city center. This helps avoid traffic congestion in the city center while ensuring convenient travel and reducing overall travel costs.

To further enhance the convenience of P+R parking payments, the P+R parking lot at Xiaotang Station will simultaneously introduce a convenient payment function. In addition to paying with a public transportation card, drivers can also use the "Shanghai Parking" APP, WeChat, Alipay mini program, or the "Suishenxing" APP to enable "Suishen Code" payment. They can enjoy the preferential P+R parking rates by following the relevant rules (the P+R parking lot at Fengxian New City Station has not yet launched the P+R convenient payment function.
