Fengxian New City Stages "Light Weaves Green Realm" to Illuminate Ecological Night Time:2025-09-30

On September 24, the Fengxian session of the 2nd Shanghai International Light Festival, with the theme "Light Weaves Green Realm - Exploring the New Ecological Light of the New City", kicked off by the Jinhai Lake in Shanghai Fish. This event integrates ecological landscapes with light art, showcasing the natural beauty and innovative vitality of Fengxian New City through architectural projection shows and artistic installations.

As night fell, Fengxian New City transformed into a dreamlike stage interwoven with light. In the ecological core area of Shanghai Fish, the purple light belt around the Dianjing Square swayed gracefully like a lavender field, the green light rippled like flowing water, and the golden light belt resembled a lakeside beach. They harmonized with the illuminated distant buildings such as "By the Water" and the Fengxian Museum. Visitors strolled through the light, stopping frequently to take photos and capture the enchanting night view.

According to Feng Jialu, design director of the Fengxian session, two immersive experience routes have been specially planned for this light festival. One is a one-kilometer riverside pedestrian route that connects the Dianjing Square, lavender light sea, and artistic sculptures, among other photo-worthy spots. The other is a Jinhai Lake bus sightseeing route, which offers free rides for tourists to places like Pao Pao Park and Youth Art Park, allowing them to travel through the light interaction areas and enjoy the light effects of urban buildings along the way.

This light festival will run through October 8, featuring the "City Light Stamp Collection" interactive event. Visitors can collect stamps at artistic hotspots like Shanghai Fish, Fengxian Museum, and Youth Art Park, or in bustling commercial areas such as Love Enterprise Valley and Paradise Walk, to redeem discounts and enjoy a fresh way to unwind during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.
