From Artificial Snow to Starlit Concert and Alien Forum: "Above Water" Sci-Fi Pavilion Touches Cosmos Time:2026-01-07

The "Above Water" Sci-Fi Pavilion in Fengxian has been a hive of activity lately. Free lectures, sci-fi markets, and starlit concerts are all part of the fun. It is a perfect blend of science and imagination, and the perfect way to kick off 2026.

During the recent New Year's holiday, the sci-fi museum hosted a range of free activities that drew both families and young people.

Inside the museum, snow makers gently sprayed "snowflakes", and the "Star River Exploration Project" at the holiday fair buzzed with festive energy. Science and magic shows alternated, while the free tasting and play area echoed with laughter. The family event "BeiDou Fun Run" combined outdoor teamwork with tech and sports, making for a fun and interactive experience.

Daily guided tours by "instructor NPCs" have been a hit. These experts take visitors on a journey through the museum's highlights, from the immersive Starlit Hall and the Three-Body Audio Gallery to exhibits showcasing major national achievements and a stargazing platform with a stunning "sunset" view. Their engaging explanations of the science and stories behind each exhibit have left many parents saying they have "finally unlocked the true magic of the sci-fi museum."

On the afternoon of January 3, the inaugural "Sci-Fi Chat" Forum dove into alien imagery. From the iconic "little gray men" of classic sci-fi to how social shifts shape our alien fantasies, the discussion was electric. That same day, the Responsible Child Orchestra played a special set at the Stargazing Corner. Classics like Century Overture and Red Star Song echoed through the sci-fi space in ensemble and solo form, blending classical tunes with futuristic flair for a truly stellar symphony experience.

During the event, Yan Qiuqiu, a reporter with Xinmin Evening News, featured the sci-fi museum in a 12-hour New Year's Day live stream. The stream's lottery session gave away 10 family tickets and garnered over 80,000 online likes. Museum Director Liu Da noted, "This shows how eager everyone is for sci-fi engagement. Ending the holiday event isn't the end - we're launching regular live streams and more diverse offline activities."

The "Above Water" Sci-Fi Pavilion plans to keep refreshing its free lectures, themed forums, and unique shows, with updates released via social media. Sci-fi is more than dreams - it is about making connections. This Fengxian science venue is sparking a love for science, one friendly and expertly guided experience at a time.
