As the Spring Equinox arrives, nature awakens and every moment becomes precious. On the morning of March 20, the 19th Shanghai Fengxian Rapeseed Flower Festival, themed “Days of Blooming Flowers, Scenes of Happiness,” officially opened at the Huami Zhuangxing Scenic Area. The park was bustling with visitors as 10,000 mu of rapeseed flowers reached their peak bloom. The golden sea of flowers, mirroring the enthusiasm of the crowds, heralded the arrival of spring with a vibrant overture.

Building on the classic flower-viewing, photography, and rustic culinary experiences of previous years, this year’s festival introduces innovative highlights. Organizers have launched new interactive activities, including climbing the “Qianshe·Clouds” observation deck for a bird’s-eye view of the flower sea, viewing intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and taking low-altitude helicopter tours. These experiences allow visitors to appreciate the grandeur of this “land art” from diverse perspectives and immerse themselves in the unique charm of “Shanghai-style Jiangnan.”

The 19th Shanghai Fengxian Rapeseed Flower Festival will run through April 12.
