The 2024 (1st) Shanghai International Light Festival is set to kick off! As one of the festival's branch venues, Fengxian District will open light check-in points and recommended ones to the public, covering dining, lodging, transportation, sightseeing, entertainment, shopping, and featured night tours. The event will blend culture, art, sports, ecology, and sustainable technology to provide an immersive experience that enhances daily life and showcases the district's distinctive light displays, creating a novel urban image and a fresh attraction for night tourism.

  The festival in Fengxian will run from September 20 to October 18 under the theme "Radiant Dreams—Basking in the Ecological Glow of the Forest of Lights". The main event will take place at Oriens Lumina within South Shanghai Central Park, where visitors are treated to a full sensory outdoor night experience enhanced by lighting, projections, installations, sound, and interactive design, offering both artistic and visual pleasures.

  In conjunction with the festival, a city light map will be introduced, featuring artistic light installations in Oriens Lumina and Love Enterprise Valley, and check-in points at locations such as Shanghai Fish, Longhu Tianjie, and Qingxi Old Street. Each evening at 6:30 pm, a "building projection show" will commence, and the iconic Zhongqi Building will be illuminated. The mini programs - "Fengxian Tourism" and "Fengxian Toilet Finder" will be launched to support tourism in Fengxian and to help visitors find public toilets.

  The festival aims to boost events such as the "Shanghai Summer" International Consumption Season, the Autumn Shopping and Tourism Season, and the 35th Shanghai Tourism Festival. It will introduce the "Shanghai Summer · Fengxian New City Consumption Experience Officer" 2.0 initiative, designed to increase the appeal of night tourism, night entertainment and night market consumption, thereby further promoting the economic and social development of Fengxian and enhancing its urban image.
