Celebrating UN Chinese Language Day at KSU with Qunxian Club's Young Instructors! Time:2025-04-30
On April 20, 2025, as the world commemorated the UN Chinese Language Day, two promising young percussion instructors from Qunxian Club, affiliated with the Fengxian Cultural Center (Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) in Shanghai, were invited by the organizer at King Saud University (KSU) to join in the festivities.
At KSU in Saudi Arabia, they presented the charm of Chinese traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage to more than 400 teachers and students from the university and its partner institutions, along with aficionados of Chinese culture.
The event was hosted by KSU and Sinopec (Middle East) FZE. According to Abdullah bin Salman Al-Saud, President of KSU, learning Chinese is more than just improving language proficiency. It is a journey that opens doors to a diverse worldview, deepens understanding of global civilizations, and forges strong bonds of friendship. KSU, the first in Saudi Arabia to introduce Chinese language education, aspires to lead the way in this field and enhance the cultural ties between China and Saudi Arabia. As a prestigious university that the Saudi people hold in high regard, KSU has excelled in Chinese language instruction and has significantly advanced China-Saudi Arabia cultural exchanges. It remains committed to aligning the Belt and Road Initiative with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
