Fengxian's Foreign Affairs Liaison Officers Honored with Excellence Certificate during CIIE Time:2025-12-03

As the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) draws to a successful close, we take a moment to recognize the unsung heroes behind this grand international event - the foreign affairs liaison officers. This year, nine young liaison officers from Fengxian District stepped up to the front lines of foreign affairs support. Their professionalism shone through in crucial areas such as airport transfers, dignitary receptions, and the signing of foreign affairs agreements. Among them, six were honored with the "Outstanding Foreign Affairs Liaison Officer" certificate. Let's delve into their inspiring CIIE stories →

Yang Songjun (Jinhui Town)

Serving as an airport group liaison officer, I have come to understand the significance of upholding the "national gate image". Working tirelessly for 20 hours straight, rushing to the airport in the early hours of the morning, and waiting patiently for flights three hours ahead of schedule all became part of the routine. When faced with unexpected issues such as damaged luggage or incorrect flight reports, we remained calm and composed, handling these challenges with a steady and adaptable approach. Each pick-up and drop-off was a crucial moment, representing the first and last impressions of Chinese hospitality for our foreign guests. I am deeply honored to be able to convey the warmth of Shanghai through our professional service.

Yu Sida (Jinhai Sub-district)

As the chief liaison officer for the Federated States of Micronesia delegation, I had the honor of providing comprehensive support for the signing of the China-Micronesia Framework Agreement on Enhancing Economic Partnership

. The seamless completion of this pivotal political task was made possible by our team's well-defined roles and unwavering collaborative spirit. Being part of the "final stretch" in fostering high-level international cooperation has deepened my understanding of the profound sense of duty that comes with serving national strategies.

Wang Lei (Industrial Comprehensive Development Zone)

Over the 21-day period of arrival and departure services at Pudong Airport, I coordinated the transportation of 27 batches of ministerial-level foreign guests and guided a team of volunteers to refine our service protocols. Amidst challenges like flight delays and torrential downpours, our dynamic scheduling system ensured seamless transitions. Hearing foreign guests express their gratitude in Chinese, I realized that we are more than just the "first impression" of the CIIE - we are also ambassadors of cultural exchange.

Fei Jiacheng (Haiguo Culture)

As an aspiring Party member, I upheld the principle that "foreign affairs are no small matter" on the front line of airport support. Through rehearsing emergency scenarios and collaborating across multiple departments, we turned meticulous processes into welcoming services, receiving sincere thanks from foreign guests with their "Thank you, Shanghai!" This experience felt like a vivid, hands-on Party lesson, where I was able to reaffirm my commitment while serving international friends.

Ruan Xinyi (Oriental Beauty Valley Company)

While hosting the leader of the Uzbekistani delegation, who faced mobility challenges following surgery, we meticulously planned routes and dynamically adjusted our arrangements to ensure their seamless participation in the conference. The CIIE, a vital platform for "Belt and Road" cooperation, relies on the cumulative effect of countless detailed services for its success. This experience has significantly enhanced my grasp of comprehensive service awareness.

Chai Yuhao (Haiwan Town)

Positioned at Pudong Airport's "frontline window", we brought the essence of oriental hospitality to life through proactive and meticulous service. Every step, from customs guidance to emergency coordination, reflected on our national image. By collaborating efficiently across multiple departments, we showcased the systematic efficiency of Chinese service to foreign guests. This experience has also made me realize the profound connection between my individual efforts and the national opening-up.

Hu Jiawen (Oriental Beauty Valley Company), Huang Yibo (Hangzhou Bay Company), Liang Jiaxin (Fengcheng Town)

As liaison officers for the Eurasia and West Asia-Africa groups, we each took on the responsibility of hosting high-level delegations from countries such as Armenia, Kazakhstan, and the Republic of the Congo. Through precise itinerary coordination and effective cross-cultural communication, we refined our professional capabilities. This experience vividly illustrated the dynamic synergy between Fengxian's young cadres and their involvement in international business and diplomatic affairs.
