Over the 2026 May Day holiday, Fengxian centered its efforts on the deep integration of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, exhibitions, and agriculture, rolling out a district-wide "1+6+43+X" series of cultural tourism carnival events — one opening ceremony, six themed events at the main venues, 43 signature carnivals across the district's towns and subdistricts, and an open-ended lineup of district-wide interactive experiences. The aim was to stage a borough-wide celebration that drew visitors to Fengxian, kept them there, and spurred holiday spending. According to official figures, the district received 1.4222 million visitors over the holiday. The average room occupancy rate at tourist hotels reached 68.54%, up 3.33 percentage points year on year, while homestays averaged 58.87%, up 5.44 percentage points.

With the May Day holiday drawing to a close, Fengxian's early-summer splendor is now in full swing, sea breezes carrying their own charm and blossoms adorning the city.
