Zhu Jingyi Strikes Double Gold at Archery World Cup, Setting New Milestone Time:2026-06-17

The Archery World Cup wrapped up its Antalya leg in Türkiye on June 14, marking the third stop of this season's series. Zhu Jingyi, an athlete trained and sent up through the Fengxian District Sports Training Center, teamed with national team members Li Jiaman and Huang Yuwei to battle hard and stage a comeback against the odds, claiming gold in the women's recurve team event. Zhu then went on to top the podium in the individual competition as well, taking home two golds in all.

In the women's recurve team event, China defeated Kazakhstan and Germany in succession, then edged Türkiye by a single ring in the semifinals to reach the final. In the gold medal match, China at one point trailed Mexico 1-3. Keeping their composure and holding their nerve, Zhu and her teammates leaned on steady shooting to level the match with two straight sets, ultimately turning it around for a 5-3 victory and the title!

In the women's recurve individual competition that followed, Zhu beat South Korean star An San 6-0 in the semifinals to advance to the final. Facing Mexico's Flores in the gold medal match, Zhu prevailed 7-3 to add another gold!

Twice atop the podium at this World Cup, Zhu Jingyi showcased solid technical command, strong mental toughness and a tenacious sporting spirit. May she keep up the momentum in the events ahead, reaching for even greater heights and bringing further glory to the nation's archery cause!
