Curtain Falls on Inaugural Burger Festival at Fengxian Powerlong Plaza as Regional Favorites Draw Crowds Time:2026-06-23

The first Fengpu Burger Festival wrapped up its four-day run at Fengxian Powerlong Plaza on June 21. Since opening on June 18, the market, which brought together handcrafted specialty burgers from across the country, drew crowds of food lovers with its wide-ranging lineup, filling the venue with a lively street-fair atmosphere.

The event assembled popular burger vendors from Xiamen, Ningbo, Xinjiang, Hangzhou, and beyond, each showcasing a distinctive signature item. Creative offerings included cartoon-shaped buns, caramel foie gras and wagyu burgers, black-bun coconut pineapple burgers, and cheese-waterfall burgers, covering a spectrum of flavors to suit every palate. Throughout the festival, griddles at every stall stayed busy, with thick-cut beef patties sizzling to a crisp sear and the aroma of melted cheese drifting across the grounds, prompting many visitors to stop and line up for a taste.

The festival brought in 40 vendors operating 40 stalls, giving the mall a substantial boost in both foot traffic and sales. Daily visitor numbers peaked at more than 90,000 during the event, up 50% year over year, while sales climbed 40% from a year earlier.

For local residents, the four-day feast offered a fresh summer hangout where popular handcrafted burgers from around the country could all be sampled in one stop, right at their doorstep. Behind the smooth, well-organized rollout was the full support of the Fengpu Subdistrict business environment office. Subdistrict staff streamlined vendor application procedures, coordinated directly with food safety and market regulation authorities, and helped all stalls obtain vendor permits in one go, backing the market with efficient, citizen-friendly government services.
